1 September 2019 -BOTH’s 10 year journey…

by | Aug 31, 2019

The start of autumn in the UAE, signifying change, a new season, the Islamic New year, letting go of the old and, new beginnings….

As per the Greek philosopher, Heraclitus: “Change is the only constant in life”…

Autumn reminds me that everything is always developing and evolving. It focuses on how fleeting life is and emphasises how vital it is to embrace the present. Autumn reminds me to continually be aware of one’s surroundings and the effect it has on oneself, one’s team, business and clients.

BOTH has grown significantly weathering up and downturns in the economy, expanding and streamlining – however, this month is our 10th birthday! Ten years have seen BOTH been resilient, agile and pivoting to our client’s needs adapting to the ever-changing world of work. We have undergone digital transformation, incorporating ‘internet of things’-connecting everything and everyone. Big Data is a significant focus area for us creating business value and actionable insights.

I am therefore proud to share what my team and I have established during our ten years of operation. We have created better user experiences and engagement journeys for our clients, company, organisation and the services we provide.

We have become an automated operation having mapped each of our 1013 administrative processes, procedures and steps to 9 main process areas and 27 subprocesses. The result is:

– an electronic administration platform increasing our productivity by 75%,

– providing a seamless custom user interface and

– strengthening our competitive advantage.

Her name is “ELA”, and she is evolving ….

We have adopted a complete Microsoft Office work environment enabling us to be a dependable cloud-based operation and perform as a sustainable collaborative business.

Our team are a mobile workforce, equipped with the required technology to perform at their best everywhere and anywhere and being accessible to all our clients – locally and internationally.

We have moved from a traditional large office to a smart office and co-working space. Our workplace functions as a community and offers an experience to our employees, co-workers, partners and clients.

We have become environmentally friendly by eliminating the use of plastic and reducing the use of paper to make a difference in our community.

We are successfully recycling all obsolete and non-fit for use electronics and technology, rebuilding laptops and donating them to less privileged communities.

We are continually investing in user experience capability to foster and promote the best possible client journey and ensure our customer service reflects our brand.

It is, therefore, imperative for BOTH to continue to meet future challenges sustainably while providing top-notch customer service leadership. Developing our capability to identify quickly, evaluate and invest in the right trends at the right time is vital.

Change will continue to accelerate at an exponential rate. We have actively responded to rising client expectations and acclimatised to the breakneck speed of technology.

We look forward to what the future holds.
